LLOYD GABY

(Ngāi Tahu - Ōraka-Apirama)

Based in the South Islands West Coast, Lloyd joined NZBTC having worked in the building and construction industry since 2005 as both a carpenter and self-employed builder. In recent years, Lloyd has transitioned into the regulatory and compliance environment for local government where he previously held both building control officer and senior building control officer positions within a district council.

Lloyd currently holds competencies within the national competency assessment system framework for the inspection of buildings at both Residential 3 and Commercial 3 levels and for the processing of building consents at Residential 3 and up to Commercial 3 level.

As a Regulatory Officer, Lloyd supports the team that assists Territorial Authorities with building consent processing and the inspection of building work.

QUALIFICATIONS

New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Construction Management) Level 6

National Certificate in Carpentry

Licensed Building Practitioner - Carpentry and Site 1

BOINZ Associate Member

West Coast Civil Defence Emergency Management - Rapid Assessment & Building Triage

City & Guilds Diploma in Culinary Arts

Certificate in Hospitality – Professional Cookery
